Highly recommend. I had a fridge failure and no backup fridge available, and they were able to come out incredibly quickly (within a few hours!), which was a huge relief. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable and honest from the start. He took the time to listen to everything I'd already done, explain what he was finding, and answer all of my questions. I felt heard, understood and reassured throughout the whole process, which made a stressful situation much easier. I really appreciated the honest advice about what was worth the money and what wasn't. There was no pressure, just practical recommendations and clear explanations so I could make an informed decision. The diagnosis was spot on, the repair was completed quickly, and the cost was very reasonable. Great service, great value for money, and excellent communication. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others and will definitely use them again in the future if needed.

Wishal came today to fix my fridge, and I genuinely appreciate how honest he was. The fan was stopping on and off, and he could have easily replaced it and charged me around $300. Instead, he took the time to check it properly, fixed a loose connection, and asked me to keep an eye on it. He explained everything clearly, checked all parts carefully, and didn’t rush the job. It’s not easy to find someone this honest and thorough. I’m really thankful for his work and would definitely recommend him.

Mitsubishi Refrigerator Appliance Repairs Near You in Sydney
Mitsubishi Electric refrigerators use different cooling layouts, electronic controls, temperature zones and inverter systems depending on the model. A fridge that feels warm in one compartment does not automatically have the same fault as a freezer that has stopped freezing completely.
Our refrigeration technicians diagnose suitable Mitsubishi refrigeration appliance faults involving:
- evaporator fans
- temperature sensors and thermistors
- Multi Airflow systems
- defrost components
- electronic controls
- automatic ice makers
- drainage
- door seals and alignment
- inverter compressor operation
- sealed refrigeration systems
Fast Fridge Repairs specialises in refrigerators, freezers and refrigeration systems rather than general appliance repairs.
Mitsubishi Electric Fridges We Repair
Mitsubishi Electric Australia's current refrigeration range includes WX multi-drawer, LX and L4 French-door, HGS/HS and CGX/CX bottom-mount, ER top-mount refrigerators and upright freezers.
Depending on the model and fault, we can assess current and selected older Mitsubishi refrigerators.
Mitsubishi WX Multi-Drawer Fridges
The WX Series is one of Mitsubishi Electric's more distinctive refrigerator designs.
Current WX refrigerators can include separate refrigerator, vegetable, freezer, ice-making and Supercool Freezing areas, along with features such as Multi Airflow, VitaLED, automatic ice making and multiple specialised freezing modes.
If one drawer is warmer than expected while other sections remain cold, the whole fridge may not have failed.
The diagnosis should consider:
- which compartment is affected
- selected operating mode
- sensor readings
- fan operation
- airflow
- electronic controls
Mitsubishi French-Door Fridges
Fast Fridge Repairs also works on suitable Mitsubishi LX and L4 French-door models.
Current models can use inverter compressors, Multi Airflow, electronic controls and non-plumbed automatic ice makers, depending on the series.
For more general information about this fridge configuration, see our French-door fridge repair service.
Mitsubishi Bottom-Mount Fridges
Current Mitsubishi bottom-mount ranges include CX, CGX, HS and HGS configurations.
Common symptoms may include:
- freezer cold but refrigerator warm
- freezer not reaching temperature
- excessive frost
- fan noise
- temperature fluctuations
- ice maker not operating
- water inside the cabinet
See our dedicated bottom-mount fridge repairs page for more on this refrigerator layout.
Mitsubishi Top-Mount Fridges
Mitsubishi's current ER Series uses a conventional top-freezer layout combined with modern inverter refrigeration technology.
Fast also repairs other supported top-mount refrigerators throughout Sydney.
Common Mitsubishi Fridge Problems We Diagnose
Contact us if your Mitsubishi refrigerator is:
- not cooling
- freezer cold but fridge warm
- freezer not freezing
- icing excessively
- leaking water
- making unusual noises
- running for long periods
- freezing food unexpectedly
- displaying unstable temperatures
- not making ice
- having trouble with a specific drawer or zone
- showing an alarm or control-panel problem
The symptom helps determine what should be tested first.
Mitsubishi Fridge Not Cooling
“Not cooling” is a symptom rather than a diagnosis.
Fridge and Freezer Both Warm
Where both sections are losing temperature, diagnosis may need to consider:
- compressor operation
- electronic control
- condenser heat rejection
- temperature sensing
- refrigeration circuit
Freezer Cold but Fridge Warm
If the freezer is still cold but the fresh-food section is warming, possible causes can include:
- evaporator fan
- restricted airflow
- evaporator icing
- thermistor or temperature sensor
- electronic control
- model-specific air distribution
The exact cooling architecture differs between Mitsubishi models.
A fridge that is not cooling should not automatically be assumed to need regassing.
Mitsubishi Multi-Drawer Fridge Temperature Problems
Multi-drawer Mitsubishi refrigerators deserve a different diagnostic approach from a basic two-door fridge.
On WX models, different compartments are designed for different storage conditions. Current WX refrigerators can include dedicated vegetable, freezer, ice-making and Supercool Freezing compartments rather than one common temperature throughout the whole cabinet.
If one area appears too warm or too cold, check:
- which mode is selected
- whether neighbouring compartments are affected
- airflow
- sensor readings
- fan operation
- electronic controls
A single drawer behaving differently does not necessarily mean the compressor has failed.
Mitsubishi Supercool, Soft Freezing or Chilling Problems
Selected Mitsubishi models use features such as:
- Supercool Chilling
- Supercool Freezing
- Soft Freezing
- Hot Freezing
depending on the series.
If food in one specialised compartment is freezing harder than expected or failing to reach the intended condition, diagnosis may involve:
- mode selection
- temperature sensing
- airflow
- electronic controls
- overall refrigeration performance
These functions should be assessed according to the specific Mitsubishi model rather than treated as an ordinary freezer compartment.
Mitsubishi Automatic Ice Maker Not Working
Many current Mitsubishi Electric refrigerators use a non-plumbed automatic ice maker, so they rely on a refillable internal water tank rather than a permanent household water connection.
If the ice maker stops producing ice, possible areas include:
- water tank not seated correctly
- insufficient water
- ice-making mechanism
- freezer temperature
- sensor or control fault
- model-specific water-supply components
The refrigerator should also be cooling correctly before assuming the ice maker itself is faulty.
Mitsubishi Fridge Leaking Water
Water inside or underneath a Mitsubishi fridge is not always a blocked drain.
Possible sources include:
- defrost drainage
- frozen drain
- condensation
- damaged or poorly sealing door gasket
- automatic ice-maker water system
- removable water tank on applicable models
The location of the water helps determine what should be inspected.
For example, moisture around an ice-making system may require a different diagnostic path from water collecting underneath the vegetable compartment.
Mitsubishi Fridge Icing Up
Heavy or recurring frost can restrict air movement through a frost-free refrigerator.
Depending on the model, possible causes can include:
- defrost heater
- temperature or defrost sensor
- evaporator fan
- electronic control
- drainage
- door sealing
- warm-air entry
Simply removing the ice may temporarily restore airflow, but recurring frost means the underlying cause should be investigated.
Mitsubishi Multi Airflow and Uneven Cooling
Multi Airflow is used across several Mitsubishi Electric refrigerator ranges.
If one shelf, compartment or drawer becomes warmer than expected, possible causes include:
- food blocking vents
- fan problems
- frost restricting airflow
- temperature sensor faults
- control issues
- door not sealing correctly
Avoid packing food directly against ventilation outlets.
Proper air circulation matters even when the refrigeration system itself is operating normally.
Mitsubishi Fridge Making Noise
Some refrigerator noise is normal.
Mitsubishi Electric notes that sounds such as humming, clicking and occasional water-related noises can occur during normal refrigerator operation.
A fridge should be investigated when a noise is:
- new
- unusually loud
- grinding
- scraping
- repeatedly clicking
- associated with rising temperature
Possible sources can include:
- evaporator fan
- ice interfering with a fan
- cabinet vibration
- compressor
- electronic or inverter controls
What About Clicking From the Compressor Area?
Older or different compressor systems may use conventional start components. However, many current Mitsubishi Electric refrigerators use inverter compressor technology, so repeated clicking should not automatically be diagnosed as a faulty traditional start relay.
The compressor and model-specific electronics need to be tested appropriately.
Mitsubishi Temperature Sensor and Thermistor Problems
Modern Mitsubishi refrigerators rely heavily on electronic temperature sensing.
A thermistor or sensor problem can contribute to:
- fridge too warm
- fridge too cold
- irregular cycling
- one compartment behaving differently from another
- unstable temperature
- incorrect control response
A sensor should be tested rather than replaced simply because the fridge temperature appears wrong.
On multi-zone Mitsubishi refrigerators, more than one sensor may be involved.
Mitsubishi Control Panel or Display Problems
Electronic controls can manage functions such as:
- temperature selection
- compartment modes
- rapid cooling
- ice-making functions
- alarms
- energy-saving settings
depending on model.
If the display behaves abnormally but the refrigerator still cools normally, the issue may differ from a complete refrigeration failure.
If the control fault occurs alongside rising temperatures, the cooling system and control signals may both need checking.
Mitsubishi Inverter Compressor and Sealed-System Diagnosis
Current Mitsubishi Electric refrigerator ranges extensively use inverter compressor technology.
If airflow, fans, sensors and controls appear to be functioning but cooling is still poor, the compressor and sealed refrigeration circuit may need further diagnosis.
Possible areas include:
- inverter compressor operation
- electronic compressor control
- condenser
- evaporator
- refrigerant circuit
- refrigerant loss
Refrigerant circulates inside a sealed system and is not normally consumed through regular use.
If charge is genuinely low, the cause should be investigated rather than treating routine gas topping-up as normal maintenance.
Fast Fridge Repairs is ARCtick licensed for applicable refrigerant work.
Mitsubishi Door Seal and Door Alignment Problems
A door that does not seal properly can allow warmer, humid air into the refrigerator.
Possible signs include:
- condensation
- frost
- longer run times
- unstable temperatures
- moisture around the door opening
Check that:
- the fridge is level
- food is not preventing closure
- the gasket is clean
- the seal is not damaged
- doors align correctly
Mitsubishi itself notes that incorrect levelling can affect door alignment and sealing.
Simple Ways to Help Your Mitsubishi Fridge Work Properly
Domestic refrigerators generally do not need unnecessary scheduled dismantling or routine regassing.
Instead:
- keep internal air vents clear
- avoid overloading shelves
- make sure doors close completely
- keep door seals clean
- follow the required ventilation clearances
- keep the refrigerator away from excessive external heat where practical
- follow the manufacturer instructions for cleaning the automatic ice-maker water components
- investigate persistent temperature changes rather than repeatedly changing the thermostat
Mitsubishi recommends correct ventilation, appropriate temperature settings, intact door seals and avoiding overloading so air can circulate properly.
Find Your Mitsubishi Fridge Model Before Booking
Mitsubishi refrigerator parts and internal layouts vary by series and model.
Before calling, it helps to have:
- model number
- approximate age
- photo of the rating label if available
- description of the fault
- which compartments are affected
- any alarm or display information
Examples of current Mitsubishi model prefixes include:
- MR-WX
- MR-LX
- MR-LA
- MR-CX
- MR-HS
- MR-HGS
- MR-ER
Providing the model can help determine the relevant refrigerator architecture before the visit.
Is Your Mitsubishi Fridge Still Under Manufacturer Warranty?
Check the manufacturer warranty before arranging independent repair.
Mitsubishi Electric Australia currently states five years parts and labour warranty for refrigerators, with 10 years parts-only coverage on the inverter compressor, subject to its warranty terms and conditions.
If your refrigerator may still be covered, contact Mitsubishi Electric first to determine whether the fault should be handled through its warranty process.
Fast Fridge Repairs is an independent refrigeration repair business and is not represented as Mitsubishi Electric or an authorised Mitsubishi Electric service centre.
Is It Worth Repairing a Mitsubishi Fridge?
Many Mitsubishi refrigerator faults can be repairable, but the decision should be based on the individual appliance rather than the brand alone.
Consider:
- fridge age
- exact fault
- overall appliance condition
- required parts
- parts availability
- previous repairs
- repair cost
- replacement cost
A fan, sensor, drain or door-seal problem presents a different decision from a major sealed-system failure on an older refrigerator.
Diagnosis should come before deciding whether to repair or replace the appliance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my Mitsubishi fridge not cooling?
Possible causes include restricted airflow, evaporator fan problems, frost buildup, temperature sensors, electronic controls, inverter compressor faults or a sealed-system issue. Whether the freezer or individual drawers remain cold helps narrow down the diagnosis.
Why is my Mitsubishi freezer cold but the fridge warm?
Possible causes include an evaporator fan problem, blocked airflow, evaporator icing, a temperature sensor or electronic-control fault, depending on the refrigerator model.
Why is my Mitsubishi multi-drawer fridge not cooling correctly?
First identify which drawer or compartment is affected. Mitsubishi multi-drawer models use different temperature zones, so a problem isolated to one compartment may involve its sensor, airflow or control rather than the entire refrigeration system.
Why is my Mitsubishi automatic ice maker not making ice?
Check the removable water tank first on applicable non-plumbed models. Freezer temperature, the ice-making mechanism, controls and model-specific water components may also be involved.
Why is my Mitsubishi fridge icing up?
Recurring heavy frost can involve the defrost system, temperature sensor, evaporator fan, drainage, door sealing or electronic controls, depending on model.
Why is my Mitsubishi fridge making a loud noise?
Compressors and fans normally make some noise. A new grinding, scraping, loud buzzing or repetitive clicking sound may require diagnosis, particularly if cooling performance has also changed.
Does my Mitsubishi fridge need regassing?
Not necessarily. Fridges can stop cooling because of fans, sensors, controls, airflow, defrost or compressor faults. If refrigerant is genuinely low, the cause of the loss should be investigated.

Fast Fridge Repairs specialises in refrigeration appliances, including suitable Mitsubishi refrigerators and freezers. We do not provide general Mitsubishi air-conditioning or unrelated appliance repairs.
Is Fast Fridge Repairs an authorised Mitsubishi Electric repairer?
No. Fast Fridge Repairs is an independent refrigeration repair business and does not represent itself as Mitsubishi Electric or an authorised Mitsubishi Electric service centre.
Is it worth repairing a Mitsubishi fridge?
It depends on the age, fault, condition, parts availability and repair cost. Diagnosis is the best starting point before deciding between repair and replacement.
